Dear Erin,

I am writing this letter to provide my comments regarding the Potential Wildlife Area plans that include the Samaniego and East Catalina and other areas within the Coronado National Forest.

I could describe the many countless hours of multi-use trail design, building and maintenance I have logged, or the trail stewardships and advocacy groups I am a member of but.... I won't.

Instead I am writing to voice my concerns regarding the (what I'm sure was an oversight) omission of mountain biking as a recreational activity on the trails in the PWA.

Mountain biking and mountain bikers are a large user group in the Coronado National Forest.
It is a sanctuary during the blazing summer heat and would be sorely missed if lost.
It has been my experience that the majority of all trail building and maintenance events held over the last few years have been organized by or heavily attended by mount biking groups and riders.
I would like that relationship to grow.

Please include me in any correspondence regarding this or any other trail issues in the CNF.

Sincerely,

Jerry Boettcher
